Kate is a Fellow of the NCPS and sits on the Professional Standards Committee. Therapeutically, Kate has over twenty years of experience working with children, providing services to help young people overcome mental health concerns and deal with significant life issues. Specialising in the treatment and support of distressed children and young people, Kate has extensive experience in helping those suffering from trauma, addictions, and abuse.

Kate is a dedicated voice and sworn campaigner for Children and Mental Health. She aims to encourage policymakers to always put children at the heart of decision making. Moreover, Kate is the managing director of KRD training which specialises in the training of therapeutic, educational, and caring professionals in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. She has worked boundlessly for over fifteen years with training providers as a senior lecturer, supervisor, and examiner on Accredited and Advanced Counselling and Psychotherapy Diplomas and Postgraduate programmes. Kate has also successfully developed and implemented outstanding therapeutic programmes to support vulnerable children, young people and their families across many primary schools, secondary schools, and charitable sectors.
