NCS | Complaints – helping us improve

We have officially changed our name to the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society!

Information for members

As of the 15th of May 2023, we have officially changed our name to the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

Our new and improved website is coming soon!

Some members may have noticed we updated our complaints process in January 2018. In truth, we know many will have hurriedly moved past any mention of it, with mentally crossed fingers and hope that it is something they never need to know about.

Yes, it is an uncomfortable part of our world and yet such a necessary one.

As counsellors we are familiar with the importance of keeping to boundaries in our work, and that they are there to build trust and keep us all safe. Having somewhere to turn to when things ‘just don’t feel right’ and checking that feeling out is important.

Counsellors have supervision, both clients and counsellors have the NCS and HS. Clients have this opportunity because as members working ethically is important to you. Together we want to keep working towards improving what we do and how we do it.
