The rates of depression and anxiety among teenagers has increased by 70 per cent in the past 25 years.

Today Prince Harry has been praised for his courage in speaking out about seeking counselling to help come to terms with the death of his mother in an interview with the Telegraph’s Bryony Gordon.
We originally saw positive changes beginning to take place, when, in January of this year Mrs May revealed plans to fund mental health first aid training in secondary schools enabling teachers to recognise the signs that a student may be suffering from depression and anxiety.
Today, we are overjoyed to announce another positive step in the recognition of mental health issues in young people; Ministers are now examining plans to integrate full-time NHS professionals in secondary schools for a green paper on young people and mental health. We will be following up on the details of the Green Paper as and when they are released, which we be later on this year.
