We have officially changed our name to the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society!

Information for members

As of the 15th of May 2023, we have officially changed our name to the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

Our new and improved website is coming soon!

We have recently been contacted by a member of the Society to notify us of a prospective client that has been contacting therapists to engage them in sexually explicit conversation.

The male prospective client has been locating therapists through the Counselling Directory website.

The member has informed us that conversations in forums with other counsellors have revealed a number of other victims of harassment from the same man.

The Society would like to advise members to contact the police at the earliest opportunity if they suspect that they have been targeted.

We have a Society Support Officer who can be contacted on support@nationalcounsellingsociety.org and 01903 230441 should you wish to talk confidentially about this matter.
