NCPS | NAPAC Volunteers wanted

NAPAC is looking for more people to join them as volunteers on their support line which is based in Stockport. Volunteers need to commit to one shift a week. Their next Stockport volunteer training course starts on Thursday 12th January 2017 and runs over 6 weeks on Thursdays 10am-1.30pm. Email info@napac.org.uk for an application.

Volunteers need empathy, resilience and commitment. One in 5 people who call NAPAC's support line are telling someone for the first time about what they suffered in childhood. We took nearly 5,500 calls last year. Find out more about becoming a volunteer here.

In case you or any of your clients could find this valuable: NAPAC is running survivor support groups starting in early 2017 in Cardiff, Dorking and Warrington. NAPAC's support group model draws on the latest research on developmental trauma disorders and is focused on empowering survivors to take charge of their recovery. The support group are led by two experienced facilitators and run for 12 weekly sessions, lasting 2 ½ hours each. Further details can be found here - Survivors should register their interest now for Cardiff, Dorking and Warrington.
