Rape Crisis Surrey & Sussex (RCSAS)- Counselling Coordinator Vacancy

Are you passionate about improving the lives of women and girls affected by sexual violence? Rape Crisis Surrey & Sussex (RCSAS) are looking for an experienced Counselling Coordinator to play a key role in managing and developing our busy counselling service.

Hours: Part time (three days a week)

Salary: £30,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience

Location: Crawley, West Sussex (with some travel in Sussex and Surrey required)

Responsible for: Sessional and Volunteer Counsellors

Contract type: Permanent (funding dependent)

Closing date: Monday 19th March 2018 (midday)

Interview date: Week commencing 26th March 2018

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating counselling provision to women and girls in Sussex and Surrey who have experienced rape, sexual abuse, or other forms of sexual violence and will also hold a small caseload of their own. Candidates must demonstrate experience of managing services, an understanding of gendered violence and be an empathic and empowering therapist.

This is a hugely rewarding role for someone who enjoys working in a diverse, highly motivated and professional team.

The role is subject to receiving Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks and to a probationary period.
