After working for 20 years at the University of Manchester in a variety of different roles including HR, Pastoral Care, Advice and Counselling, Jane took herself back to studying a variety of different Counselling and therapeutic techniques, including Counselling and Hypnotherapy, Counselling and Psychotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Psychometric Testing and Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Time Line and Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness Based Inner-repatterning. This culminated in her completing ILM Level 7 (Masters Level Equivalent) in Life and Business Coaching, Leadership, Management, Mentoring, Mindfulness and Mediation.
It’s an unusual combination incorporating, Human Resources, Business Management and Counselling but in doing so, Jane is now one of only a handful of coaches that can assist anybody, whatever their situation across the whole coaching continuum.
In 2010 she opened the doors to a private psychodynamic counselling practice which continues to go from strength to strength with clients coming from all over the North West Region. She is also keen to promote "Wellness in the Workplace", working for a number of different companies that have a global presence. As well as running her private practice she volunteers her time to Bury and Bolton District Citizens Advice Bureau as a Trustee and has spent some time volunteering for Childline Schools Service. She is also currently working with a team of people as part of a charity to set up the "fourth emergency service" that of psychological care following traumatic incidents after working in the aftermath of the Manchester Evening News Arena Attack.
