Romeena Da Silva

Member Status: Accredited

Member No: NCS14-01620

Location: London

Romeena encourages and supports her clients by guiding the therapeutic process without interrupting or interfering, allowing them to express their deepest thoughts without judgement. Her expertise lies in being genuine in her therapeutic relationships; empathising with how clients feel and experience things in order to help them to a deeper understanding of themselves assisting in their way forward. Within her person-centred approach Romeena will also adopt different counselling models to help her clients. For example, she may use CBT when assisting a client with self-defeating behaviours in understanding the link between thoughts, feelings and the resultant actions. She may use a Psychodynamic approach in working with relationship issues to help address presentations about the past. Romeena will adapt her approach to suit the needs of each individual client.

Romeena worked as an actress before training to become a therapist, she understands high pressure in a competitive industry that can result in confidence and low self-esteem issues. Her strengths lie in helping those who are seeking counselling for stress, anxiety, bereavement and loss, depression, self-defeating behaviours, anger and frustration, personal growth and relationship issues. Romeena believes passionately in talking therapy, whether the trauma or issues are past or present it’s never too late to talk!
