I take an integrative approach to counselling and use a combination of counselling techniques and methods to fit the counselling around the client rather than to fit the client into one particular counselling style.
As a psychotherapeutic counsellor I work relationally with the belief that the client is a whole person and so work with the mental, emotional, physical, behavioural, cognitive and spiritual aspects of each person.
I volunteer for a bereavement charity and find working with loss and grief a very meaningful experience.
I have extensive experience of supportive roles and co-ordinator roles of helping people overcome barriers to move forward with their lives who have been affected by homelessness, mental health, abuse and addiction.
