Considering and finding a counsellor can be an anxious time for many, often this might be your first-time seeking help or you may be returning to counselling after a break, you may be unsure of what to look for or be unsure of what to expect from your counselling journey.

It is my belief that we as individuals have the ability to find within us what we need to overcome and work through our problems, insecurities, anxieties and the stresses that life brings us. However, at times in our life, and for many reasons such as traumatic events, financial or job pressures, personal or relationship issues, bereavement or other loss, we lose touch with this ability and our problems begin to overwhelm and infiltrate our lives leading us to seek help.

So, you have made the first step in seeking help and may now be wondering how can counselling help you get back to being you again? For me my role as your counsellor will be to provide you first and foremost with a safe non-judgemental, confidential space where you can be supported in working through, in your own time and in your own way, with supported guidance, the problems that you are currently facing at this time.

I am trained and experienced in working as an integrative counsellor or in simple terms, I look for the best approaches and techniques that suit you. I do not follow one particular counselling model instead I look to them all to find the best combination for you, my client, ensuring at all times that you are at the centre of your experience, working through your problems in your way at your pace, working with you to find the best outcomes for you.

No individuals life and experiences are the same so therefore neither should their counselling experience, what works for one is unlikely to work for another, therefore my aim is to personalise your experience and work with you to find the best route forward for you. Unsure of where to start or what to say, that is just fine, give me a call or send me an e-mail and together we can find a way forward.

My own journey to becoming an experienced counsellor has taken me down many pathways supporting many people from all backgrounds, ages and with a range of issues. Helping people to become the very best versions of themselves, rediscovering their own ability to overcome their problems in their own way, whilst watching them grow as an individual is a privilege and one that I look forward to sharing with others in the future.

If you would like to find out more about my service or how counselling could help you please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you.
