Key Worker Counselling

It is my aim to help my clients feel safe and supported from the very beginning. Deciding to embark on therapy can be a difficult decision to make which brings its own challenges as well as what issues or concerns you are taking to therapy. Opening up to a stranger is not always the easiest thing to do, which is why building a rapport is important to establish trust. It is my job to help you allay some of the fears and worries of therapy by talking these through with you in the first instance so that when you come to talking about the issues you want to bring to therapy, you will be able to concentrate on these with more confidence.
I have taught psychology in university and college, I have been a TA in an SEN school, worked with adult and child offenders in YOS (KCC Youth Offending) and COSA (Circles of Support & Accountability), I have also worked with Victim Support supporting victims of crime, I have worked for Cruse supporting bereaved families, and I am a trained restorative justice facilitator where I have facilitated small groups, bringing victims and witnesses of crime together. I have much life experience to offer too, including having lived abroad.
