People come to counselling for many different reasons. Perhaps facing challenging times, stressful life events or feeling anxiety around things they normally cope with well. Many want to just share thoughts and feelings with someone who is impartial, open, honest and non-judgemental in a safe confidential environment and I provide this.
I provide a safe space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, and to make sense of these thoughts and feelings and reactions to things that are going on. I draw on past life events to help heal the presenting problems.
My counselling approach is Integrative, which means I draw on different ways of working with my client for their particular need, always developing a solid and trusting relationship in mind.
I have worked extensively with the Stroke Association providing support for both victims of stroke and their carers which at times have needed even more support. And I have also worked with the Daisy Programme, in Watton, Norfolk who provide support for victims of domestic violence. Both, together with my private clients have been very rewarding. experiences.
