"I cannot thank John enough for helping me through this difficult period of time. I honestly feel that his support made all the difference in my being able to deal with the challenges I was facing. He was able to give me the space to talk, think and open up. John’s warm, non-judgemental and professional approach meant that I always felt safe and able to explore my emotions. " Client testimony.
I am a UK based, Integrative Counsellor, that works with adults to help them to explore and understand difficult emotions in a safe and confidential way.
Many of my clients contact me because they are experiencing difficult thoughts and emotions as a result of significant changes or stages in their lives such as experiencing a bereavement of a loved one. or a change in career, or maybe that they are simply feeling anxious and overwhelmed as carry out their daily lives and simply want to feel more confident in themselves and perhaps more at peace with who they are.
My style of counselling is simply to give my clients space to think and feel, and to articulate what is important for them. My clients set the agenda for our sessions and I work with them at the pace that they want to go at. Over time, and only if the client wants me to, I can help my clients to develop strategies for managing life's challenges so that they can be free to choose how they want to live and engage with life.
To date I have worked with undergraduate students, parents, senior managers and other professional adults.
