Hi, my name is Julie and I am a fully qualified counsellor and supervisor. Reaching out for support can be really difficult, but finding the support you need at the time you need it can make such a difference. To know someone is listening to how you are feeling and sitting beside you through your journey can allow you to find clarity and hope for change.
Although my core is person centred, I work integratively to meet the needs of each client as everyone is unique. I offer a safe and confidential space to talk about whatever may be troubling you. Being a counsellor to me, means I will always listen without judgement and always with empathy. I will truly try to understand what you are experiencing so you feel heard and understood.
My person centred values of warmth, compassion, humility and kindness will be at the heart of your therapy, where I will walk alongside you at your pace, always with understanding. The therapeutic relationship between us will be joint and built on trust . I am registered with Th National Counselling Society and adhere at all times to the thick framework of ensuring professional and ethical practice. I have regular supervision also to ensure my ethical practice.
I have a wealth of experience working with adults and young people from all backgrounds and also have experience of working with emergency services. My vast experience includes working with depression and anxiety, abuse, loss and grief, workplace trauma and childhood trauma, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD, low self esteem and low confidence, relationship issues and sexuality. I have experience in REWIND THERAPY. I also offer one off sessions using the wheel of life, this is a way of bringing focus to areas of your life you are satisfied in snd areas you are less satisfied.
