Hi - I’m Lindsay, I’d like to help if I can...
I’m a Consultant Psychotherapist, Supervisor, Trainer and Author and am accredited with the BABCP, BACP (Senior) and the ACC (Counsellor/Supervisor), as well as with the NCS (Senior/Supervision). My specialisms include childhood trauma, dissociation, couples therapy, supervision, compassion fatigue and resourcing therapists through training.
I’ve written two books to help professionals, survivors and their supporters demystify the complexities of dissociative identity disorder: Understanding Dissociative Identity Disorder: A Guidebook for Survivors, and a Picture book: Our House: Making Sense of Dissociative Identity Disorder. They’re available from the publisher (Routledge: http://www.routledge.pub/UDID) and most bookstores including Amazon.
THERAPY – It’s important to me that you feel heard, understood and supported as you work towards creating enduring change. I’ve completed a wide range of training to help me work with you, to make sense of your challenges and to purposefully integrate theories and interventions to meet your needs. I work with clients of all ages, and with a wide range of difficulties.
SUPERVISION – I enjoy working with other therapists to support them and help them develop to their best potential. I’ve completed advanced training in supervision to help me to serve supervisees and, with a particular interest in Compassion Fatigue, I am keen to support practitioners develop and maintain personal and professional wellbeing.
TRAINING – I write and deliver workshops to professionals nationally and internationally. Formerly appointed the Program Lead by Penny Parks, I taught the PICT Diploma for over 10 years, and still offer supervision and masterclasses to PICT practitioners.
