Having the opportunity to talk openly, without fear of upsetting someone, or burdening them, is incredibly powerful. When you can speak without expecting judgement, you can share all those thoughts which you usually keep bottled up which then continue to hold you back and cause further hurt and pain.
What I offer in counselling, is the chance for you to share and explore your story, what holds you back, and look at what you want to change. I will offer perspectives or a different understanding of situations. I will support you to look at things differently and to see what behaviours and actions of yours can be changed in order for you to improve your life. We cannot change other people, but you can change how you view and respond to them, and this is what can bring the big changes.
