Hello, I’m Debbie. I offer supportive and calm counselling in a discrete setting. I typically work with clients who are looking for medium- or long-term support in making changes to their lives, especially around issues with stress, depression, anxiety or general unhappiness and dissatisfaction.
What to expect? You would text, phone or email me to arrange a first appointment. We would then meet for a first hour. This gives you the opportunity to see the room, ask questions and to tell me what you would like to tell me about your experience, what you may be struggling with and the changes you would like to make. We can explore some different options together. If you do then decide to work with me, typically we would agree to an initial commitment of six weeks.
How do I work? My approach is relational and talk-based (no hypnotherapy, NLP, CBT etc.). I deliberately maintain a small caseload of clients. As you should expect of any therapist you work with, I am insured, under regular supervision, attend my own therapy when necessary and registered with a membership organisation and abide by their code of ethics.
- Qualifications & ExperienceI hold a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (July 2019), am registered with UKATA and am an Accredited Registrant Member of the National Counselling Society. I have been in practice since 2017.
