I am an Integrative Counsellor which means I work in more than one way using Person Centred, Gestalt, CBT, and Mindfulness models to help clients explore what is troubling them and to heal and grow, all within a safe, non-judgmental space. My work with you will be to facilitate change and to do that I want to see and understand your world as you see it, and your place within it. I want to hear your experience and how that experience impacts on your world.
I provide a safe space within which you and I build a trusting relationship and where confidentiality is assured. As we travel together on your journey of change and recovery, you will feel held when needed, and empowered through our work together to make your own decisions for healing and growth.
Whatever is troubling you right now, talking with someone is the way forward - even if you decide it isn't me, do reach out to a counsellor to start your healing process soon.
In addition to my counselling skills, I bring life experience offering added value to the therapeutic experience. With a lifelong passion for people whether through mentoring, coaching, training and motivational skills during careers in management, personnel or past business experience, counselling is my natural home and the vehicle that enables my lifelong passion to be put to best use to help others.
Here are a few examples of the issues I work with, but not exclusively:-
Stress and anxiety
Depression and feelings of sadness
Self-Harm
Suicidal thoughts
Self-worth issues
Low self-esteem
Childhood experiences including emotional neglect
Attachment issues
My private practice is run from my home address where I have a counselling room for face to face or online video call counselling
Coronavirus Covid-19.
I keep up to date with the advice of the Government, Public Health England (PHE) and in particular the guidelines of the Professional Bodies regarding conducting face to face counselling throughout the pandemic, (including social distancing and hygiene routines after all face-to-face sessions) to ensure my clients are entering a safe environment and I am keeping myself safe from infection.
I am a member of the governing body BACP and adhere to their Ethical Framework and which is client centred.
I am dedicated to continual professional development attending workshops, seminars and lectures as part of my commitment to professional growth for the benefit of my clients.
