Hi, I'm Jo. I'm a warm, friendly and caring creative counsellor. Its likely that we all experience times in our lives of depression, anxiety and grief. Sometimes it can be too much to cope with on our own and counselling sessions can offer the space to explore what is happening and find a way to healing. It takes courage to ask for support and this is an important first step. I have extensive experience working with adults and teenagers in a school setting and with a local hospice. I use creative therapy which explores the unconscious where "there are no words" and many receive lightbulb moments using this wonderful way of working.
I specialise in trauma and and have a particular interest in spirituality and mindfulness meditation. I also run Zoom Mindful Movement classes which blend yoga, pilates and mindfulness. I believe that working creatively is the best way to explore the unconscious processes that often leave us stuck. I use sand play, work with miniatures and relationship cards.
I am also a creative supervisor and can offer sessions via Zoom or face to face.
