I grew up in the Lake District, studied English at Cambridge and then moved to London to work in theatre, and have now lived there for over 30 years. My love of wild countryside, poetry and drama have been integrated into the way I work as counsellor. In my counselling work I aim to integrate the three strands in an individual life - a person's past, their current experience, and their possible future. By facilitating a client's ability to process old woundings, find coping strategies for current problems, and by helping them feel more able to work towards a future they wish for, I support clients to feel more grounded, whole and able to see their difficulties in a new way which enables them to cope more effectively, and live more fully.
