Hello and welcome,
My name is Sian and I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor providing one to one counselling for adults and young people (14+) from my base near Wells. My counselling room provides a tranquil space where you can feel safe, comfortable and welcome.
Life can become overwhelming at times, and you may be finding it difficult to deal with your worries and problems. You may feel unable to talk to those close to you and unsure of where to turn. I offer a calm, safe non-judgmental space where you will feel heard, accepted and understood, a place where you can talk freely and openly so you can start to explore and make sense of these issues.
There are many reasons to come to therapy: difficult times in life, things feeling not quite right, anxiety or depression or things from our past affecting us in the here and now (attachment or trauma). My aim is to support you with whatever has brought you to me, helping you regain a sense of hope and purpose.
I work in a way that values you as a unique being and my sessions are tailored to suit your individual needs, I will work alongside you, to help you understand your difficulties and to help you find your own way forward at a pace that suits you.
Taking this first step and seeking out help is daunting, it takes strength and courage to do so. Finding the right counsellor you feel at ease with and someone you feel able to freely talk to is very important. I believe the relationship is vital to successful therapeutic work so it is important you chose a counsellor you feel comfortable with, someone you can trust.
Please feel free to contact me, I offer a free introductory session that will give you an opportunity to discuss you needs, find out a bit more about me and how counselling may help you, and most importantly to see if we can work together.
