If you have never experienced therapy before, it can be hard to understand that “just talking” can help. It is my belief and experience that the strength of the relationship between the counsellor and the client is the reason why “just talking” can make such a profound difference to how you feel. I also use a therapy dog as an option if you would like.
Taking the first step to seek therapy can feel daunting and scary. Yet, most of us have experienced a time when we have needed help or longed to be truly heard and understood. My aim is that you feel your thoughts and feeling are acknowledged and valued, without judgement.
I have worked in a variety of counselling settings including a domestic abuse charity, a local hospice and also two local secondary schools.
I have a wide range of experience and am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
