Being a parent of neurodivergent children has led me to research extensively in this area, which has allowed me to better understand the challenges they and their families may face. I understand how painful and frustrating this can be.
The societal expectations and pressures that we face may make it difficult for us to identify who we are. The way we present ourselves to the world, the way we behave, and how we express our own needs can all affect the quality of our lived experiences. Exploring therapy can be intimidating, but taking that first step is key to achieving change.
