CYPT

Hello and thankyou for taking the time to read my profile. I qualified to practice in 2002 and from here I worked full time as a Counsellor for an Alcohol service. I worked for ten years with clients where the presenting issue was alcohol misuse, however there were many other issues our clients struggled with, such as Depression, Anxiety, Low Self Esteem etc.
I have extensive experience of successfully working with clients to make significant changes and to reach their goals. Since leaving this service, I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, gaining more and varied experience. I can help with most issues and usually without a need for long term therapy.
I will work with you and help you to explore what would be the best way forward for you, to make the necessary changes you want/need to make. I will not tell you what to do, but gently encourage you to find the confidence within yourself to take that first step towards you new future.
These are your sessions and I will work with what you choose to bring into the sessions. However, I see Counselling as a way for someone, who is struggling to start to look at themselves and their lives from a different perspective, this process can enable a person to see that change is possible and they can make the necessary changes for a better life.
