My way of working involves building on the therapeutic relationship, trust and a collaborative dialogue with you. I facilitate a non-judgmental environment and a confidential space to explore and validate your thoughts, feelings and emotions. I do not suggest the answers to your problems, but can offer an empathic understanding, guidance and support, through the process of therapeutic growth, towards autonomy in making your own decisions.
During the therapy process, you will engage in self-reflection and exploration at your own pace, thereby enabling greater self-awareness to acknowledge and address difficult feelings, unhelpful thoughts and behaviour patterns that hold you back or keeping you stuck from moving forward. You will recognise the values and personal goals that are in line with your authentic self and will be able to apply these to unlock your full potential.
I work pluralistically, which means that I draw on different approaches and tailor the therapy to suit your individual needs. I believe that you are the expert of your life and encourage you to be an active participant in a decision-making process that shapes your therapy sessions. A collaborative dialogue enables us to identify your preferences and utilise any personal strengths and (cultural) resources you would consider helpful in meeting your aims and goals.
