Hiya, I am Kirsty Crawley – van Lieshout, from Dutch – Indonesian descent. I moved from The Netherlands to the UK in 2002 and have been living here ever since.

Previously I worked as a Chef and had to change career due to health reasons. After that I went from Receptionist to Secretary to HR Assistant to HR Manager to HR Consultant and Life Coach, and when I moved here, my paperwork did not translate..

So, I worked as a nanny for a while before I became a Customer Service Professional – it is a skill..

After years of being chained to a desk with headphones, I found that there was more to life and journeyed my way to become a counsellor - not looking back, although still incorporating my own life experiences into my work.

  • Qualifications & Experience
I have successfully completed a course in Life Coaching in 2010 to transfer my skills from Dutch to English, acquired a certificate in Counselling Skills in 2011, was awarded the Coach Award from the Institute of Customer Services in 2012 and qualified as a DipHE Gestalt Counsellor in 2014. I took part in an intensive course of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, before I passed my Integrative & Humanistic Counselling BA (hons) in 2015. And in 2021 I aquired an Advanced Diploma (level 7) in Counselling Supervision..
