Solution-focused approaches are often a brief form of therapy because it is based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. The emphasis is on present problems rather than past causes. The method avoids diagnosing and labelling problems but concentrates instead on current resources ( your strengths and competencies ) and future hopes. In terms of your difficulties that you may want help with through therapy it is more about where you want to go rather than where you have come from.
