In helping you understand and deal with what’s adversely affecting you, I use various approaches & techniques to explore with you what's contributing to your current situation. These could include mindsets that are disempowering you and preventing therapeutic (healthy) change.

I am a mature Independent Counsellor, Positive Life Change Specialist & Holistic Therapist with 20+ years' experience across a wide range of issues.

My counselling style is integrative from a humanistic/person-centred base. My approach is non-judgmental and motivational yet respectfully challenging when necessary.

My private practice is located near Worcester Royal Hospital, in a peaceful environment, where you can relax and talk about what’s troubling you.

If you choose me as your Counsellor, I will work with you respectfully and empathically. I won't tell you what to do; instead I'll raise your awareness and help you find your own solutions. I'll also provide support as you examine the pros and cons of different options towards any changes you choose to make.

I offer short and longer term therapy to adults via weekly 1 hour sessions and can usually arrange an appointment within 2 weeks.

Availability: Day time only (no evenings or weekends).

  • Qualifications & Experience
MA (Learning & Development); Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling; Advanced Diploma in Counselling; CertEd; Advanced Holistic/Complementary Therapy qualifications.

Throughout my career roles - secretarial, managerial, then director posts; college lecturer positions; practitioner/teacher of holistic therapies & spiritual development; and counsellor/positive life change specialist - it has been a privilege to be involved in the development of those ready to embrace change.

Having extensive teaching experience (supported by training and further/higher education teaching qualifications), in addition to my private counselling practice I have taught stress management; anger/conflict resolution; building better relationships; and other positive life change workshops.

I am a lifelong learner and committed to continuing personal & professional development. This helps keep me up to date with advances in counselling and associated therapies, furthers my understanding and increases my skills so that I can best assist clients who choose to work with me to deal with their distress and make greater sense of what holds them back from achieving their wished-for outcomes.

My own experience successfully overcoming significant personal, relationship and job-related traumas adds depth to my counselling.

Since 2001 I have specialised in holistic multi-therapies and, in addition to being a counsellor, I am a complementary therapist, wellness and positive life change specialist and trainer.
