Idil Kortantamer graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a doctorate in psychology. Since then she has been working with adults who want to improve their wellbeing by working through issues of stress, anxiety, social anxiety, life transitions, self harming habits, fears, relationship problems, self esteem, and depression.
Dr. Kortantamer’s research has given her an expert knowledge of psychological theories and models of stress and coping. She developed a new stress coping model which she presented at various conferences in UK and Europe. Dr. Kortantamer is able to draw on this model and other multidisciplinary and holistic approaches to tailor her stress and anxiety sessions and workshops in line with each individual’s preferences and needs.
Dr. Kortantamer is also a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Hypnotherapist. She is a member of The National Counselling Society, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, The British Psychological Society and The National Hypnotherapy Society. In her counselling sessions, she works together with her clients to explore the problems they are experiencing and help them find a new way forward. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Kortantamer is an honorary counsellor at Wandsworth and Westminster Mind.
