I have been counselling since 1996. My approach to counselling practice is grounded in being deeply present with each person who is suffering. In this place of compassion and courage, a healing alliance is developed. We are naturally good, wise people and when that goodness and wisdom begins to emerge, we naturally find emotional healing, just as our bodies self heal also.
I supervise the work of a number of counsellors.
I conduct training sessions – Birmingham City University, Hereford Hospital, Durham Diocese, Hereford Diocese, Network Counselling, Trinity College, Bristol. I have conducted training session for The Well Counselling, Malvern in using big stories to help clients. The struggles of Anna Karenina, What did Lizzy Bennet really need? The collective traumas in Wuthering Heights.
