I work from an Integrative perspective which combines different approaches such as, Person-Centered, CBT, Psychodynamic, BSFT and so forth. These approaches are tailored to fit the individual, their difficulties and their personality, so therefore is tailored to the individual client.
I have a wealth of experience in the field of mental health which would include issues such as, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, confidence issues, low self esteem, postnatal depression, grief and loss, abuse, family issues, addiction, alcohol and drugs, suicide and self harm.
I am a registered member of BACP and an accredited member of NCS. I abide by their ethical framework and the data protection act 1998. Full details of these are available on their website www.bacp.co.uk http://www.nationalcounsellingsociety.org. My accreditation and registration status can also be verified by checking their online register of approved therapists.
I believe healing begins by experiencing unconditional acceptance and understanding and this can begin in a Counselling relationship. Therapy allows you the space needed to truly explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that is meaningful to you and for you to share your story in a safe space where "you can be true to yourself"
Life can become overwhelming and at times complicated, whilst we can't undo the hurt and pain from the past, we can look at the obstacles and challenges that are preventing you from moving forward and reaching your full potential. It is my goal to work together to help you explore who you are and to help you find the solutions to your difficulties which in turn will help you on your journey of experiencing a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
I provide late morning and early afternoon appointments.
please get in touch by email or telephone to arrange an appointment. I have an office on the Lisburn road and in Dungannon
