People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons and you maybe experiencing one of the following:
Abuse in a relationship, at work or from a friend.
Addictions such as alcohol, drugs, gambling or retail therapy.
Weight management, eating disorders, self esteem, confidence or self-harming.
Bereavement, grief or loss of a loved one
Marriage problems or relationships problems.
All these things can have an affect on our mental wellbeing and health creating stress, anxiety and depression.
Often clients will come to counselling with underlying 'limiting beliefs' that maybe preventing them from succeeding or achieving what would otherwise be possible for them. You may feel you can't accomplish something because you have a belief that says: 'I'm not good enough, not lovable enough or not worthy enough', DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
Whatever the problem counselling will allow you to discuss your problem and any difficult feelings or thoughts you may encounter in a safe and confidential environment.

Life Coaching (NLP) - Behavioural change model to help you change negative emotions and limiting beliefs
Time Line Therapy - to release negative emotions linked to past trauma and OCD
Clinical Hypnotherapy - can help some people change certain behaviors, such as stopping smoking, weight management and many other unwanted behaviours. It can also help people change perceptions and sensations, and is particularly useful in treating pain.
Nutritional therapy - to improve health, weight management
I offer 1:1 counselling and online SKYPE counselling
What to expect in your first session?
Initially I offer a FREE 20 minute phone call, this will allow you to talk about what you hope to achieve from the counselling sessions. We would then schedule an appointment lasting an hour where we will explore the nature of the problem in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
As an experienced therapist I use an integrated approach to suit your needs. The sessions last an hour and generally once a week or fortnightly. I also offer nutritional advice as the mind and body work together!
My journey:
This was my journey which started many years ago with a belief that I wasn’t 'good enough’ a belief I now realise dominates a lot of us. This limiting belief used to affect my life in many different ways and stopped me from believing in myself. When things happened I used to blame myself and tell myself it was my fault because I wasn’t good enough for example in ‘a relationship breakup’ I would tell myself it was because I had done something wrong, if only I had done this or that, maybe he would have stayed. Or ‘If I didn’t get the job’ it was because I wasn't clever enough or 'good enough'. This way of thinking used to hold me back from trying something new because I was scared of failure. DO YOU EXPERIENCE THESE TYPES OF FEELINGS?
The more you reinforce the belief the more you believe it and yet there was something in me that wanted to change these beliefs, and just like you I needed help!
I started to explore the possibility for change by studying Psychotherapy, NLP and Life coaching, this gave me the opportunity to explore my 'limiting beliefs' and realised that everyone has within them the means to change but only when you start to see things in a different way. I proved this to myself when I walked the ‘Fire Walk’ at an Anthony Robbins weekend seminar, this is how powerful Psychotherapy, NLP & Coaching can be. Why did I walk the Fire walk? to prove to myself I could do it. The Fire Walk is a metaphor, if you can walk it you can do anything in your life; it is only our beliefs that stop us from achieving the life we want! This whole experience has completely changed my life for the better and I no longer have that old belief. THIS IS MY JOURNEY and I have never looked back. YOU TOO CAN MAKE THIS JOURNEY OF CHANGE all you need to do is to take your first step!
