Hello, I'm Debbie, I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a PGC in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I use an integrative approach to meet your individual hopes and needs. My approach includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) , Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy ( DDP) Person Centered , Therapeutic Life story , Psychodynamic and Creative interventions such as art, Sandtray or Clay
Its important you know that I'm a friendly and kind person who is easy to chat to and I feel I can help you feel safe and able to tell me what's on your mind. I know that it can be a hard step picking up the phone or sending the first message but I hope to put you at ease and make this journey a supported and helpful one for you.

I have over 18 years experience of working with both adults and young people individually and in family settings. These settings have included working with adoption, fostering and Looked After Children. I am also a Therapeutic Foster Carer and have attachment based principles.

I am a firm believer that your troubles can be easier if you give yourself a chance to look at them. I became a counsellor because I know I can offer you a safe space to do this and that you can move forward and feel differently. My skills include are but not limited to children and young people / adults / anger / low mood / depression/ anxiety / self worth / relationship difficulties / loss / PTSD / parenting / phobias / well-being / feeling in crisis / change /mindfulness and relaxation. I am also a qualified Hypnotherapist. I am registered with the National Counselling Society.
