I have been a therapist for several years and have worked in a variety of settings. These include the NHS within CAMHS, Working with children aged 7-18, Barnardos as a Child Advocate and the Charity FACES, that works with families facing all types of stress, including financial, abuse, parenting and domestic violence problems.
I currently work for myself and have a practice based on the outskirts of Milton Keynes in Newport Pagnell. Before i started my therapy journey i worked as both a TA and a Learning Mentor in schools for over 8 years. Working with Children with Special Needs and their families, to include physical and neuro developmental problems such as Autism and Asperger’s, Down Syndrome, sight and hearing problems and selective mutism. My role was to provide both practical and emotional support. This experience is what inspired me to want to progress my own learning and eventually qualify as a counsellor.
My role as your therapist is to work in a holistic, non-judgemental way. Allowing you a safe place to explore your understanding of what is driving your current feelings, helping you to find ways to accept, change or understand the person you are at your pace, and enabling you to find yourself in a positive place to enjoy a fulfilled and happy life.
