I work in a relational way, my practice being grounded in humanistic and integrative theories.
Offering a safe, supportive, relaxed and confidential environment for us to work alongside one another which, dependant on individual needs, can be short or long term.
I believe that working within an honest, trusting, empathetic and non-judgemental relationship will allow us to explore what is happening within your life, for you to identify and make sense of those issues that are causing you distress and discomfort.
The therapeutic relationship enabling you to strengthen your ability and resilience to make choices, implement those changes that you are able to do so, within your life.
For the last 17 years I have worked within an educational environment working with children and adolescents in a pastoral role. I have had the privilege, for the last 10 years, to work within a more therapeutic role with young people and adults from diverse backgrounds with their own unique, individual situations, bringing with them their varying beliefs and values. I have been overwhelmed with their openness, honesty, their ability and resilience to deal with traumatic situations, where they often question their sense of belonging and self-worth.

Counselling can feel a daunting step to take so it is important that you find the right therapist for you to work along side you.
I now have a private practice in Carlton which offers a free 30 minute consultation, on the telephone or face to face. Sessions thereafter are 50 minutes at £35.00 per session.
Monday to Friday daytime and evenings.
Off street parking is available and there is a regular bus route to the area from the City Centre.
