Hello, I'm Gillian. I'm trained as an Integrated Counselor which mean I studied a variety of counselling approaches, but I consider myself a Person Centred Counsellor. Person Centred Counselling starts with a premise that everyone is basically trying to be their best self, but life gets in the way sometimes. Things like trauma, incidents, abuse, how we are treated by our parents or in our relationships. These events then alter how we see ourselves. Our self belief, our self esteem, our values can be altered by how other people or events have molded us.
By exploring these events in the past or the present from your point of view, we can help gain perspective, resolution, understanding but importantly find the reserves and answers you have in you.
It may be a particular event you want to explore. It may be you want to explore general feelings of low self esteem. You may just want to be heard. I have no set agenda, you're the expert in your own life and we go where you want us to go at the pace you want us to go.

I am a remote only Counsellor meaning we will communicate via zoom or phone. All you need a safe, quiet room where you can speak freely. Pets and babies are fine but no other people including children, must be present.
