Being Well TogetherKey Worker Counselling

I'm Helen and I work for the Solihull Play Therapy, Counselling and Supervision Service offering play therapy, creative arts or counselling as required to support children, young people and adults in Solihull.

Please do not hesitate to contact me for a free initial telephone call to assess how best we might be able together to move things forward.

  • Qualifications & Experience
I have a degree in psychology, post graduate diploma in play therapy and am a fully qualified accredited integrative counsellor.

Back in 2010 I was using play therapy with children with special educational needs and disabilities. I found that counselling through play could be really useful when a child did not have the words to express how they felt.

However, I also realised that it was not only the children and young people who needed support but their parents and families. I then expanded my role to support them through counselling and for when they had not got the words to say what was on their minds I found that creative arts could open the window to a new beginning.

With creative arts. once people realised that absolutely no art skills were required they were able to fully engage themselves in this resource to reach some really positive outcomes in their lives.

I now engage with a range of children, young people and adults in Solihull in local schools and counselling settings.

I have clients from Solihull and also surrounding areas such as Redditch, Walsall and Stratford.
