I am interested in what enables a person to thrive in this world; how our relationships and experiences shape our personalities, our ways of thinking and behaving; how something said or done will trigger a strong emotion or reaction in one person but not another. I am extremely lucky to make my living through hearing other people's stories, then working together to build their internal resource, reducing distress and increasing capacity to be happy and connected to those with whom we share our lives.
There is a list below entitled 'Can Help With' - I am not saying I am an expert in these areas, simply that clients have brought these things to counselling with me in the past. Clients are the expert on their lives - I have skills in helping clients with new perspectives, listening and empathising.
