I am a fully accredited Counsellor and Hypnotherapist. I employ integrative approach including Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic model, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other relevant psychotherapeutic models. Personally, I am an active listener with empathetic and non-judgmental approach. I offer confidential environment and the space and time to the clients to explore their issues. The areas of counselling I deal with include anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, Bereavement, Phobia, weight loss and other psychological health issues. I am associated as a volunteer counsellor with Cruse Bereavement Care (Northamptonshire), The Hummingbird Cancer Support and Therapy Centre (Bicester) and Clean Slate (Oxfordshire).
I have worked as a medical doctor with NHS previously and my experience as a medical professional facilitates me with better understanding of the problems and achievement of a good rapport and professional therapeutic relationship. It adds to my skills of being congruent, non-judgmental and reflective and assists to establish effective communication with the clients and any relevant organisations. It would also benefit me with skills like working within the time boundaries and considering suitable referral if necessary.
I believe in being sincere and punctual and to work within the ethical framework of my professional registration body and adhering to the policies and guidelines. I am keen to learn and open to admit any limitations or mistakes. I am committed to work in the best interest of the clients in a safe and effective manner.
