As a Integrative Counsellor I would draw on insights gained from: - Person Centred Counselling, CBT & Psychodynamic.
I have 4+ years supporting people who have been affected by crime. I support a wide range of clients who are effected by Domestic Violence, Sexual assaults, Emotional abuse, physical abuse. I also deliver Psychological First Aid to families who are effected by Murder/manslaughter.
I also work with clients who are unemployed and socially inactive. By using CBT techniques and working on goals & barriers I help clients gain confidence to get back into employment.
I Volunteer with a suicide prevention Charity and offer a long term counselling support to any family members who have been affected by suicide, bereavement, loss, anxiety & depression. I offer a safe space to explore psychological issues and focus strongly on a humanistic / person centred approach. I also offer an element of spirituality within my counselling approach that allows the therapist and client to address the needs of the body, mind, heart and spirit. This form of therapy works with the whole being and is designed to connect each person with their own inner knowing and the wisdom of their soul.
