I am an NCS Accredited Registrant (National Counselling Society). I am bound by their code of ethics and my practice is subject to their complaints procedure. My theoretical model of training is a Person Centred Approach. However I integrate other models of therapy which will often include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) or psychodynamic concepts, but value the influences of the humanistic and person centred approaches. Integrating models allows flexibility and freedom to best facilitate client needs. I am committed to providing a safe, trusting, honest and non-judgemental therapeutic environment for my clients on a one to one basis. My approach does not just focus on the problem but also on what unused opportunities you may have. For example, the counselling will help to activate your unused potential. I am also a Mindfulness Practitioner and may use various techniques like Mindfulness and stress management to help you with coping strategies where required or desired by the client.
