I am a qualified Counsellor and Supervisor, accredited member with BACP and an accredited registrant with the National Counselling Society (NCS). I work with people of various ages and lifestyles in a warm, respectful, non judgemental way. I have experience of generic counselling and welcome enquiries from people facing difficulties, no matter how big or small they feel their problems are. I offer a free initial telephone discussion for you to discuss what is troubling you, how we might work together, and to see if I am the right person for you.
Currently, I work privately, and previously in an agency offering NHS IAPT Psychological therapy services. This enables me to offer both short and long-term therapy to meet differing individual needs.
I also teach Counselling with DS Counselling Training. It is a great pleasure for me to be teaching the CPCAB Counselling Diploma to the next generation of counsellors and I find this very rewarding.
I work as a person-centred counsellor and can draw upon other theoretical approaches if appropriate. I have a particular interest in working with bereavement, self-confidence, relationships and anxiety. I am passionate about the work I do, and feel privileged to provide a space to help you find your way.
