It is my aim to help my clients feel safe and supported from the very beginning. Deciding to embark on therapy can be a difficult decision to make which brings its own challenges as well as what issues or concerns you are taking to therapy in the first place. Opening up to a stranger is not the easiest thing to do, which is why I like to get to know my clients and build a connection. It is my job to help you allay some of the fears and worries of therapy by talking these through with you in the first instance so that when you come to talking about the issues you want to bring to therapy, you will be able to concentrate on these with more confidence.
I have taught psychology in university, been a TA in an SEN school, worked with adult and child offenders in YOS (KCC Youth Offending) and COSA (Circles of Support & Accountability), worked with Victim Support and I am a trained restorative justice facilitator where I have facilitated small groups where bringing victims and witnesses of crime together to mediate some level of resolution was the aim.
I am a mother of two and have much life experience to offer, including having lived abroad, experienced bereavement and loss in different forms, and use my intuitive spiritual abilities to support my knowledge and theory; hence my holistic approach to therapy.
