Key Worker CounsellingMates in Mind

Hello and welcome to my profile.

I offer long and short term Counselling, Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy to a wide variety of adults from in and around the Peterborough area. People come to see me for counselling on a one-to-one basis where I provide them with a safe and supportive environment and facilitate the exploration of personal issues that are impacting their life in one way or another. The psychotherapeutic process provides people that come to see me the opportunity to explore, gain clarity and deepen their perspective and understanding surrounding a range of personal issues.

I facilitate counselling and psychotherapy sessions with an integrative approach and through doing so, people are able to the explore areas that are important to them. I work with people holistically meaning we look at the many areas and layers of what it means to phenomenologically exist and experience life as an individual and unique human being. Areas we might focus on include psychological, social, physical and mental well-being, personal growth, relationships, self awareness, authenticity, individuation, exploring the inner landscape of the internal world and also how the person experiences, makes sense of and meanings of the outer world around them.

My training and specialism is in integrative counselling which means that I apply a range of psychotherapeutic modalities rather than only using a single approach. Whilst I work as an integrative counsellor my main core approach is rooted within the humanistic application of Person-centered therapy. In addition to my core approach of Person-centered I also apply other well established and accepted models of psychotherapy such as Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Jungian Analysis, Transactional Analysis (TA), Transpersonal, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused modalities where felt it is beneficial to the therapeutic process of the person.
