I specialise in working online with adults struggling to cope after traumatic experiences, including those with Complex P.T.S.D. and Vicarious or Secondary Trauma (e.g. experienced by first responders and front-line Coronavirus workers).
I use approaches that avoid re-traumatisation. You will not need to go over the details of your trauma(s).
Trauma can have life-long and far-reaching impacts if not addressed and am I passionate about empowering people to turn their lives around through education and therapy.
Trauma happens to the body and the mind and both need to be considered in therapy. Together we can discuss different techniques and approaches that go beyond the standard talking therapies and work out what is best for you.
When working with post-traumatic stress I will not need you to go over the details of your trauma(s). You can successfully improve your life in the present and put your 'past in the past' without needing to retell your story. We will also look forward to you thriving in the future!
Of course, for some clients telling their story is an important part of the healing process, if this is the case for you, I can help you to do that safely when you are ready.

I have successfully supported people who have felt almost constantly anxious and on edge, as well as those who were feeling low to the point they were not involved in their own lives but dissociated from them. They were able to become present in their daily lives, confidently make decisions about their futures and enjoy time spent by themselves without distractions and time spent with others.
My clients have been able to reduce and eliminate unwanted, intrusive and distressing thoughts, images and feelings which were impacting them both day and night (sometimes known as flashbacks and nightmares).
You may also find it empowering to look at practical ways to be safe in terms of personal safety and self-defence. This is especially popular with clients who have experienced violence.

To book your free, 30-60 minute, no-obligation consultation email gettherapy@protonmail.com or text 07397 945000.

I also work at Manchester Rape Crisis where counselling can be accessed free of charge for women who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.
