Hello, I’m Julie and I work with individuals and couples in a warm, empathic and therapeutic way. My qualifications and experience are with individual clients, couples, polyamory groups, working as a psychotherapist and as a psychosexual therapist. I’m passionate about people and work alongside them to help overcome the challenges they may be going through. We’re all unique so I approach each situation differently, accepting that individual life experiences may have shaped us into who and where we are now.

My approach is confidential, open-minded and I provide a safe environment where you can talk openly and without judgment. We can talk through things together to help identify problems that we can work with and develop strategies to establish, resolve and improve overall personal mental health and wellbeing. Trust and understanding are an essential part of psychotherapy and I will always treat clients with respect and dignity.

A client may want to use the space to talk, to clear their head or use the time to explore what’s wanted in life if someone is looking towards defining purpose and identity. Maybe the time in sessions can be used to better understand yourself and learn how to communicate differently …. the space is yours, a place to work on yourself.

So far, my experiences in therapy have been vast. I’ve helped clients to help themselves, Clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, low esteem, imposter syndrome. Through traumatic experiences, individuals diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), those experiencing a lack of confidence and those who are grieving. Grieving can play a huge part in life and can arrive in different formats. It can be helpful to understand how we process what life can throw at us or the difficult situations we find ourselves in.

Sessions can be face to face sessions in Widnes (Northern Widnes, bordering on Bold Heath) or Bury, within a few yards of the MetroLink. The rooms are tranquil and private but if you prefer, phone or online sessions, they’re available using Zoom, WhatsApp or Facetime. My working days and hours are Monday to Thursday between 10am and 8pm.
