Taking the first step to find a counsellor can be a daunting experience and as such I am happy to have an initial 20 minute telephone session, free of charge.
Whatever your counselling needs, I provide my clients with a safe space where you can be yourself and that allows us the time to work through together whatever you are dealing with.
I strongly believe in the relationship between client and counsellor and that every individual has the right to be given that time to be heard, allowing for personal growth, walking side by side with my client supporting them on their counselling journey.
I use an integrative approach to counselling, which means that I use different counselling skills to suit that individual person - including Person Centred, Gestalt, psychosynthesis, CBT and Psychodynamic Counselling.
I work creatively with all, including the use of visualisation.
I have worked and have experience of working with clients of all ages, including working with young adults in a university setting, dealing with exam pressures and the challenges of young adulthood.
I am a Counselling Supervisor and volunteer counsellor for the Road Victims Trust dealing with bereavement and trauma following fatal road traffic collisions. I am passionate about my volunteer work as my belief that it is always important to give something back to society.
I have experience working with:
Bereavement, trauma, depression, anxiety, low mood, low self esteem, narcissism, relationship issues, panic attacks, gender identity, sexuality, suicidal ideation, self harm, diversity.
