I am a National Counselling Society (NCS) registered counsellor centred in the Portadown, Craigavon and Armagh area. I understand that coming to counselling is a big decision and believe everyone deserves the right to be treated with respect as individuals and I admire the strength and courage it takes to seek help for whatever problems or difficulties client's may be experiencing in their lives.
My aim as a counsellor is to establish a strong therapeutic relationship offering a non-judgemental approach, in which I will endeavour to walk with you every step of the way on your journey, within a safe, confidential and friendly environment for adults, teenagers and young children to talk freely and you will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
My style of counselling is known as integrative offering short or long term work. I primarily use a person-centred approach whilst integrating other techniques if and when appropriate. This means I provide an empathic and genuine approach to establish and build upon a trustworthy therapeutic relationship.
I have been working with an organisation offering counselling services for local doctors surgeries, local community Mental Health Teams and Woman's Aid.
