Hello, and welcome. Deciding to start Counselling is a big decision and it can be a good idea to take your time and find someone to work with that you feel comfortable talking to. I am an Integrative Counsellor which means that I embrace the richness and diversity of different Counselling theories and consider your experience from a holistic point of view. Counselling can provide you with a private and confidential space to explore your experiences and enable you to reach your own understanding without being offered advice in the way in which family and friends sometimes do.
I offer time-limited 1:1 Counselling (up to 12 sessions) and find that this provides focus and direction within the work whilst still allowing enough time and space to talk freely about your concerns. This way of working may not be suited to matters requiring longer or deeper therapy such as trauma, but can be helpful for many of the other difficulties we experience in life such as work, family, health, ageing, relationships, change and life transitions to name a few.
As well as being an experienced Counsellor I am also a Mindfulness Facilitator and find that Mindfulness practices can work well within the Counselling process, particularly as a form of self-care in between sessions. If suitable I will discuss this with you or of course feel free to ask me directly if it is something you are interested in.
I currently offer 1:1 sessions for people aged 18 and over via Telephone or Video (Zoom) and use a secure and encrypted email service (Protonmail). If you would like to find out more or book a free 30-minute introductory consultation please feel free to get in touch via phone or email.
Thank you for taking the time to read this information - I wish you well on your onward journey.
