With 33 years experience of working in the NHS I am well placed to work with a range of issues, including clients with health anxieties due to underlying health conditions or approaching end of life, also those who have had traumatic experiences as a result of medical experiences or a cancer diagnosis.
I work as a Cancer Coach for those who have experienced a Cancer Journey and with Cruse Bereavement services for those experiencing loss and bereavement.
I also have 16 years experience as a midwife so have worked with families following Traumatic Births, Still Birth, Neonatal Deaths, Early Pregnancy Loss and Post Termination. I also work with parents experiencing Antenatal and Postnatal Depression, which can affect men as well as women.
I offer counselling to parents and families needing support with new parenting issues and adjusting to life with a baby and for dads who have found witnessing the birth traumatic, as so many do but find they have no one to talk to about it.
These are my specialities, in addition to this I also work with other issues such as bereavement, stress and anxiety, emotional issues, relationship issues, post divorce issues, assertiveness, self confidence and self esteem building. Relaxation and sleep issues.
I am a person centred practitioner but use a variety of integrated counselling methods and mindfulness to help you find a resolution and inner peace.
As part of my Cruse Bereavement work I have additional training to work with Children and young people who have suffered a loss of a close family member, sibling or parent. So work with children over 5 and onwards.
I am fully DBS checked to work with adults and children and complete annual safeguarding training.
