Perhaps you have had a traumatic experiences as a result of fertility struggles, pregnancy or baby loss or difficult delivery. Maybe problems with bonding with your baby or postnatal depression. This can be a dark place to be in and perhaps you feel you want to talk in confidence, outside of friends and family. It can be difficult to share deepest thoughts and feelings with those close to us.
Often it becomes difficult to communicate with our partners and results in problems within our relationships. Improving communication can improve things and enable you to find your way back to each other. I can help you with this by helping you explore these thoughts and feelings, help you to process them, perhaps offer a new insight or perspective. Help you to improve your communication skills and to identify your goals and support you in the steps you need to reach them.
I offer counselling to parents needing support with new parenting and adjusting to life with a new baby and for dads who have found witnessing the birth traumatic, as so many do, but find they have no one to talk to about it.
I also have additional qualifications and experience as a Bereavement Counsellor.
I understand grief and bereavement and how sometimes we just don't know how to grieve.
Everyday can be such a struggle and so emotionally painful, feelings of emptiness, loneliness and feeling adrift in the world without a life raft, no idea which way is up and its as much as you can do to get through the day, like wading through treacle.
However there are ways to grieve which can be less painful and I can guide you through this.
Enable you to understand grief, explore your beliefs, thoughts and feelings and show you a way that will help ease the pain, help you navigate your way through it, help you to rebuild a new normal and to find inner peace.
I am also able to work with clients with health anxieties and those approaching End of Life.
I understand the underlying worries and fears and can support you through these, help you to communicate your needs and wishes with those around you, perhaps to find a new perspective or to plan a way forward, and to find peace of mind and acceptance or what ever it is that you need.
I also support to NHS staff, with an in depth understanding of the issues they face within their jobs and relationships.
I am fully DBS checked to work with adults and children and complete annual safeguarding training. Initial call to discuss your needs is free of charge So nothing to loose ... Just call today.
